Arunachal Pradesh has taken a significant step toward global tourism recognition with the launch of a new policy and brand identity (LOGO). Announced by Tourism Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona at the Shangri-La Eros Hotel in New Delhi, the initiative introduces the tagline “Arunachal: Beyond Myths and Mountains.”
“Our goal is to establish Arunachal Pradesh as a premier global travel destination while preserving its breathtaking landscapes, diverse tribal heritage, and rich biodiversity,” said Minister Sona. “This policy is designed to promote sustainable tourism and empower local communities.”
A new logo accompanies the rebranding, depicting turquoise mountains and an orange arc symbolizing the rising sun, reinforcing Arunachal Pradesh’s identity as the “Land of the Dawn-lit Mountains.”
Tourism Director Manjunath R emphasized that the new identity highlights the state’s untouched beauty, offering travelers a chance to experience an unexplored side of India.
The policy promotes experiential tourism, focusing on key sectors such as farm tourism, wine tourism, wellness and spiritual tourism, adventure tourism, film tourism, ecotourism, tribal tourism, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism, and border tourism.
