The first Group of 16 Tourists successfully completed the Darshan aboard on an MI 17 Helicopter on 01-04-2024. 4N/5D package scheduled to be launch from 15-04-2024
The first trip of Adi Kailash & Om Parvat Darshan package was successfully completed on 01-04-2024 in which 16 tourists from Delhi, Maharastra, Orissa & Gujarat among other States took the inaugural journey. The package includes pickup and drop from Hotels in Pithoragarh, a 02 hour Helicopter ride covering aerial Darshan of Adi Kailash & Om Parvat and several other Peaks followed by breakfast. The inaugural trip saw a traditional welcome with Aarti, Tikka and Garlanding of the tourists with traditional chants.
Shri Sachin Kurve, Secretary Tourism & CEO, UTDB hailed this moment as a pioneering initiative to promote tourism in the remote areas of the State, thereby creating employment opportunities for the local population. He further stated that through this novel tourism product, the State envisions to promote ‘High Value Low Volume’ tourism in the area, also aligning with the Government of India’s Vibrant Village Program (VVP). This new tourism initiative is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of local population by fostering sustainable livelihood opportunities. The helicopter operations will promote tourism in the region during the winter months coinciding with the observed transhumance phenomenon in the valley. This visionary project represents the Government’s unwavering commitment to providing accessibility and economic empowerment to the inhabitants of this majestic Himalayan region during the winter season, while simultaneously promoting Aero tourism in the State.
A 4Nights/5Days package is also scheduled to commence with effect from 15-04-2024. This package will include overnight stay at Pithoragarh for 01 night and 03 nights at Gunji/Nabhi/Nepalchu, 06 Helicopters rides and transfers by All Terrain Vehicles, the bookings for which can be made through www.triptotemples.com
